Hello Beauty,
I hope you're thriving and enjoying the holiday season! It's been a little while since I last chimed in, but I’m excited to be back to share a final collection of interviews before wrapping up the season. I’ll be releasing several more episodes this month, followed by the season finale, which will drop in early February.
This past year has been a delicious dream, as I had the incredible opportunity to interview many of my mentors, teachers, and inspiring thought leaders—individuals who have consistently pushed me to think outside the matrix, furthering my evolution, sovereignty and liberation. My hope is that these conversations have also offered you some enlightenment along the way, allowing what resonates within you to grow and what doesn’t to fall away. I remain deeply humbled and grateful for your support.
On today’s episode, I sit down with Stefani Conley and Amy Ray Payne to discuss the profound impact of Hurricane Helene on Western North Carolina and surrounding areas. We share personal stories of resilience, the crucial role of direct aid, and the challenges communities face in the aftermath of such a disaster.
I have been honored to work alongside both of these powerhouse women to help support and assist so many amazing people in great need. I am forever grateful for every donation that has been made to my nonprofit, Red Balloon Project. Your generosity has made a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals and is continuing to do so through the holiday season.
Today, we talk about the power of community support and the ongoing recovery efforts which are still in full swing. We also dive into the critical role of media in shaping public perception during crises, the importance of local knowledge and community resilience in disaster response, and the dire need for transparency from authorities.
We share touching stories of human connection and support amidst the difficulties faced by Appalachian communities, stressing the value of grassroots efforts and the collective spirit of giving. We also discuss the continued needs for rebuilding and recovery, as well as the emotional toll of witnessing the struggles of those affected.
If you’d like to contribute to our efforts, you can make a donation at: Red Balloon Project
Your support helps us provide direct aid to communities in need. This month we are focused on purchasing Christmas gifts for those that have lost everything, as well as fund down payments on new rental properties and mobile homes that so many can’t afford. We are also still buying heaters and propane.
I can’t thank you enough for your continued support. It means the world to me.
With ❤️ and gratitude,
Amanda
