Going to listen to this RIGHT NOW!!! I heard about this on I think it was Darin Olien's Fatal Conveniences (?) and literally stopped wearing sunglasses that day. It was SO hard for me--I'm basically a vampire and would wear glasses IN THE HOUSE on a sunny day. All of my sunnies were Rx because I needed them to drive, etc. It took a few (torturous) weeks to break the habit but now I don't even notice that I'm *not* wearing them!!! Keep spreading good stuff! :)

Thanks so much for sharing this additional resource!!! Yes, it took me about a month to acclimate to not wearing them and now I feel funny when I put them on. The world is too dark with them on now!

Okay just listened and also YES! I no longer burn. It's nuts. (Also I've heard that the cleaner your diet, the less likely you are to burn... especially minus those nasty seed oils... fascinating!)

Love hearing your experience, Jenna! Yes, I too have heard once we divorce all seed oils, we no longer burn. Amazing, isn't it?!!!!!

About 15 years ago I broke my pricey sunglasses. I've never been able to wear polarized sunglasses - they give me a headache. When I went to buy a new pair I couldn't find any that were not polarized, so I didn't get new ones. Haven't worn sunglasses since then. No regrets.

In time I became more acclimated to the bright sun here in Arizona. That, combined with being diligent about keeping my circadian rhythm tuned up by going to bed and getting up at the same time every day helps with everything.

I can't just sit in the sun. My practical side tells me I should be doing something while soaking up the suns beneficial rays, so I typically spend 2 to 6 hours a day working outside doing various projects here on the farm. My work clothes are a sleeveless shirt, shorts and bare feet. I'm perpetually tan so I don't have to worry about burning.

I've never measured my vitamin D levels, but I can tell when that's low - my throat gets a little scratchy. A few hours in the Arizona sun and I'm back to normal.
